I want to explain the short poem I wrote for Dauntless.
Where there is a will, there is a way - but you have to have the will to find the way.
Everybody knows the saying "where there is a will there is a way" but not everybody realizes the significance. In order to achieve something, one must have the will. If you are not serious about something, you will never ever find the will.
Once you found your way much fear you shall encounter.
Now that you have the will to forge forward, fear mechanisms built into human nature will come into play and try to stop you. These mechanisms previously helped us avoid situations like being eaten by a predator. However, evolution has not had enough time to catch up with the lifestyle that we lead in todays society. As a result, the same fear mechanisms are still in play today which make us fearful of taking risks and failing.

Failures are the necessary building blocks needed to build success. The meaning of the word "fail" should be written as "learn" in your dictionary. We need to embrace the joy of failing as much as we enjoy learning. Dauntless is a reminder that will and determination will enable us to embrace our fear and forge forward to success.
